Venues & Events We Book

Shack in the Back

Shack in the Back (SITB) is a seasonal venue that hosts a weekly party on the patio every Wednesday night. SITB’s patio season opens the last Wednesday in April and runs thru mid-Sept. Live bands perform every Wednesday night from 8 pm - midnight. Beginning in June, acoustic openers perform during happy hour from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

Pay for bands ranges from $300-$600 and bands must provide their own PA. Original music is accepted and encouraged, but at least 50% of your material must be popular cover songs, which can cover many different styles of music. SITB is an ideal venue for touring bands who meet these criteria, are in route thru the Midland/Odessa area and looking to pick up some extra gas money. Please note that no lodging is included or will be offered.

Types of music that will NOT be considered for SITB are rap, hip/hop, metal and punk.

Pay for acoustic openers ranges from $150-$200 and openers must provide their own PA. Original music is accepted and encouraged. Incorporating popular cover songs into your set is helpful, but not necessarily required.

If you feel you meet these criteria and would like to submit to perform at Shack in the Back, please go to the Contact Us page and complete the form there.
Big Apple Deli

Big Apple Deli is a small deli, approx 150 capacity, situated on the downtown square in Snyder, TX.

Big Apple Deli has two seasons: an indoor concert season and an outdoor concert season. Their indoor season runs Nov-March (approximately) and the outdoor season runs April-October (approximately). They host live music on Thursday nights, as part of their "Live on Thursday's" program. Touring artists are hosted twice a month, usually 2-3 weeks apart. Touring artists are usually booked 30-60 days out.

The room does support original music, although an artist that is booked should expect to also "entertain" the crowd with a peppering of fun, familiar cover songs. While we do book solo artists, duo's and trio's are preferred. During the indoor concert season, the room can't support an act bigger than a trio without overplaying the room, but during the outdoor concert season, when the live music is on the patio, full bands can be supported.

The owners of Big Apple Deli like a lively, fun festive environment on Thursday nights and offer opportunities to local, developing talent, as well as hosting professional, touring musicians. "Live on Thursday's" has a decent following of its own, however the owners do expect that the artists will also promote their show.

Artists must provide 8-10 promotional posters 2-3 weeks prior to their date (posters w/ press photos work best, as opposed to text only). Posters must be completed with date/time/venue info and must be mailed. Electronic posters are not accepted; snail mail only. Blank posters that are sent will be discarded and not used.

Artist also provide their own PA. No equipment is provided; only a stage. There is no cover charge or ticket fee for Live on Thursday's. Artists are paid a flat guarantee, which ranges from $200-$300. Lodging is not included or will be offered. Times are 7-9 PM. Meals and drinks are provided.

If you would like to submit to perform at Big Apple Deli, please submit thru the Contact Us.
